I haven’t finished Ragnarok yet, but the score feels pretty accurate. After almost 20 hours of it, I was honestly surprised by how high it scored in most other outlets. Hopefully CoD MP improves drastically in season 2 and 3, though. It definitely has a strong base, now I just need the content and the carrots. Like you’re unlikely to give Entropy Centre a high score if you hate puzzle games. Hello everyone – GOTY Awards time is nearly upon us, and we’re looking for your feedback!
This time around, Sonic explores five distinct islands in a big open world, rescuing his motley crew of friends as he goes. The game has tight controls and varied gameplay, and the story is better than you might expect. The zone I explored in my demo – the green, hilly ecosystem that has been previously highlighted in trailers – is an absolute joy to explore, being both vast and dense with compelling things to do. From tucked-away platforming challenges that can lead to hidden collectibles, to giant, intimidating bosses that freely roam the environment, there’s a surprisingly large amount to see and do in this first area. Better yet, what I saw of the game’s content had me feeling hopeful that this could be the smartest 3D Sonic title in a while, one that rewards player curiosity more than any other previous entry.

It’s also a game that has received quite a bit of praise from critics and fans alike. Of course, there’s always room for improvement, but it doesn’t look like this will be a one-off experience. My Nintendo Store orders
Sega decided to rush the entire game, resulting in a glitchy gameplay experience. Sometimes, a glitchy game is salvageable, but this game is not. Sure, the concept of these games are much different from the originals, but they’re loads of fun. Sonic has been reduced to a poorly drawn meme and that notorious “Gotta go fast” slogan. As someone who enjoyed my fair share of Sonic games in the past, I wonder what happened.
The fierce competition between Nintendo and SEGA was great for fans as they constantly pushed each other to out do the other. I was firmly in the SEGA camp and I love revisiting these games 30 years later. So do my young children and if that doesn’t make them timeless I don’t know what does. @Bolt_Strike The adventure games are amazing and this is coming from someone who has no nostalgia for them.
